Tech Tutor Video About Us

About Us

Seattle natives, Brett and Megan Stewart started Tech Tutor Video after Brett, a software systems consultant, spent the 2004 holiday season helping aunts, uncles, parents and in-laws solve technology issues that spanned Windows XP, wireless networking, internet searching and anti-virus protection.

"I noticed a striking similarity in the kinds of questions and concerns from both of our families," said Brett Stewart. "They were looking for the simplest approach to performing specific tasks. No one was very receptive when I mentioned the availability of beginning computer books. They wanted simple explanations while watching the steps performed on the computer."

"Existing products I saw were either marketed as 'Free' with monthly follow on charges, or included exorbitant shipping fees," said Brett Stewart. "I saw this as a great opportunity to provide a helpful product, with a clearly idenified price and reasonable shipping rates."

Our Goals:
  • To make learning technology easy by teaching in everyday language and providing visual examples.
  • To provide simple security information; to allow our viewers to access the internet securely and with confidence.
  • To increase boomers and seniors use and enjoyment of technology by taking advantage of the opportunities available to everyone.
  • To provide quality products with a straight forward price.
Our Approach:
Our instruction is fun and informal, that can be watched in the comfort of your own home. We teach through discussion and demonstration, rather than classroom format lectures. You can watch our entire video at once, or use the menu to skip directly to specific topics.
  • We focus on the current issues facing comptuer beginners.
  • We explain our concepts without the use of excessive technical jargon and acronyms.
  • We provide visual examples of what we are explaining.
  • We express our opinions of the best methods, tools, and resources for your computer and internet usage.
